Pedro DomingosPedro Domingos is a machine learning pioneer and professor of computer science at the University of Washington. His research unifies different AI paradigms, including deep learning, symbolic AI, statistical learning, and analogical reasoning.

His book on this research program, The Master Algorithm, was a worldwide bestseller. He was the founding director of the D. E. Shaw machine learning lab. He is a winner of the IJCAI John McCarthy Award and the SIGKDD Innovation Award, and a Fellow of AAAS and AAAI. His latest book, 2040, is a satire of the AI craze and the culture wars.
