Sumit Kapur is a seasoned technology and finance executive with a track record of scaling complex businesses across startups, growth-stage companies, and mature enterprises.

As CEO of Zapata Quantum, Sumit has led a comprehensive restructuring of the company. His efforts have included stabilizing operations after prior financial management issues, raising fresh capital from high quality institutional and strategic investors, and preparing the business for renewed growth. Under his leadership, Zapata has successfully uplisted to the OTCQB Venture Market and is advancing toward a return to a national exchange.

Sumit is positioning the company to close the industry's quantum applications gap, helping enterprises identify which quantum use cases matter, assess when they will become viable, and develop the software workflows needed to translate advances in quantum computing into business value. Zapata's direction under Sumit's leadership has prompted the return of three of the company's co-founders, who spun out Zapata from Harvard's quantum computing lab in 2017.

Before joining Zapata, Sumit held C-Suite and senior leadership roles at companies like 3Degrees, Morgan Stanley, and Tulip AI. He has a track record of driving revenue growth from $5M to $1B+, executing financing transactions in excess of $1B, and guiding technology-led businesses through critical phases of expansion.

Sumit's professional experience spans fintech, AI, enterprise software, and investment banking. He has also served in advisory and governance roles, collaborating with boards, investors, and founders to align on long-term strategies and deliver results.

Sumit has a mathematics degree from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
