A Chat with Neeltje Pavicic: Project Manager in the Department of Innovation, Municipality of Amsterdam; past Information Analyst at ING; past Editor-in-Chief of NPO Doc

This week, Stephen Ibaraki has an exclusive interview with Neeltje Pavicic.

After having graduated from a United World College, Neeltje Pavicic studied media, philosophy, and sociology. Her career includes roles such as information analyst at ING, IT consultant at Solviteers, and editor-in-chief of the Dutch public documentary channel NPO Doc. She also directed a nationally aired documentary on 'iPad schools'.

Currently, she is working at the Municipality of Amsterdam as a Project Manager in the Department of Innovation. Her main focus is the EU-project CommuniCity, a project very close to her heart. CommuniCity is about fostering the development of tech solutions for, and in co-creation with, marginalized groups in cities across Europe. CommuniCity published it first open call in 2022 and aims to run a total of 100 pilots between 2023 and 2025. The third and last open call was published on September 10 (2024), the deadline for proposals is October 31.
