This week, Stephen Ibaraki has an exclusive interview with Theadora Sauvé.

Theadora SauvéTheadora Sauvé recently graduated from McGill University Faculty of Law, earning a dual degree in civil and common law (B.C.L./J.D.) in December 2025. Prior to law school, she completed a Bachelor of Commerce with honours at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management, concentrating in Human Resources and Labour Relations with a minor in Psychology, where she was named Valedictorian of her graduating class in 2022.

She is currently a Summer Student at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP and will begin her articling term in January 2027 before joining the profession as a lawyer later that year. In the summer of 2025, she also completed a secondment at CDPQ (La Caisse) within the Ethics and Compliance team, where she gained experience at the intersection of governance, ethics, and business operations.

Before law school, Theadora completed two internships at Canadian National Railway (CN) within the Human Resources department. During her time there, she worked on labour relations and employee engagement initiatives, drafted grievance letters relating to union-management disputes, contributed to large-scale recruitment processes, and helped launch employee engagement surveys reaching over 24,000 employees across the organization. She also founded an intern wellness committee to promote well-being and community among interns.

Throughout her academic and professional journey, Theadora has remained deeply involved in leadership, advocacy, and community engagement. She currently serves as a Board Member of Million Peacemakers, where she previously acted as Youth Co-Chair and co-created the organization's first global youth initiative, bringing together more than 100 young peacemakers across the world. Through this role, she helped lead international initiatives during Nonflict Month and spoke at global conferences, including a YPO/YNG conference in Barcelona and an international peacemaking event in Zimbabwe.

Before university, Theadora was a competitive figure skater in ice dance. She qualified for the Canadian National Figure Skating Championships and twice earned a place on the Quebec Figure Skating Team. Balancing high-level athletics alongside academics and work from a young age fostered her passion for dynamic, fast-paced environments and taught her discipline, resilience, and adaptability.

In addition, Theadora has accumulated other diverse experiences, including working with the Ministry of Justice of Namibia on issues relating to customary law and human rights and serving as Co-President of the McGill Business Law Association. Curious, driven, and people-oriented, she is passionate about business, law, leadership, and creating meaningful impact through collaboration and innovation.
