Melodena StephensMelodena Stephens is the Innovation and Technology Governance Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, Dubai. With senior leadership experience across government, education, and private sectors, she is also a strategic consultant in agile governance, innovation, brand building, and crisis management. She is a prolific author, and some of her recent books are AI Enabled Business: A Smart Decision Kit, Agile Government - Emerging Perspectives in Public Management, and Business With Purpose: Advancing Social Enterprise.

Melodena focuses on research and knowledge capacity building and training diplomats, policy professionals, and senior managers. She is the founder and board member of the Academy of International Business - the Middle East North Africa Chapter.

Melodena is a globe trotter who has lived in India, the UAE, the USA, Taiwan, and Germany. As a policy advocate, she works on several AI ethics committees in IEEE SA, the Agile Nations metaverse governance task force, and speaks at the Council of Europe on metaverse and human rights. She is currently working on advocacy for AI and synthetic biology governance.
