This week, Stephen Ibaraki has an exclusive interview with Adri Jovin J.J.

ADRI JOVIN J.JAdri Jovin J.J. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, INDIA prior to which he was an Assistant Professor at SriGuru Institute of Technology, INDIA. He received his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. He holds a Micromasters in Cybersecurity from Rochester Institute of Technology and has obtained a specialization in Applied Cryptography from the University of Colorado Systems. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Cryptography, Cybersecurity and Information Technology Education. He also holds a Diploma in Yoga and a Bachelors in Law.

He has authored a book on Computer Graphics and have been a reviewer for various technical publications including books, standards and curricula recommendations. He has published research articles related to his research works in various reputed journals. He played an instrumental role in the formulation of the IT Curriculum for Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology in 2017 and 2021.

He was an Executive Committee Member in the IEEE Computer Society India Council and IEEE Education Society India Council from 2014-2017. He is also a member of the ACM Future of Computing Academy since 2019.

Apart from his academic roles, he holds the position as Director / Principal Researcher at Tholkappiar Lab for Tamil Computing. Adri created the technical Tamil data set, which is used by millions of researchers in Tamil Computing and Linguistic Computing. He is the founder of TechnicalTamil.com, an initiative to promote the use of Tamil Technical Words, which has been certified with Silver Level Community Certificate by the Open Data Institute. This website is used by millions of researchers to translate their research works in native language. His e-learning portal, http://kalanchiyam.in is widely used by undergraduate students to learn the fundamentals of Web Technologies, Cryptography and Network Security, Database Management Systems and Soft Computing. He is also a consultant Information System Auditor for Mindnotix Technologies.

He loves playing music using electronic keyboard, tabla and flute.
