Sara Kemppainen: Social Entrepreneur committed to bringing human welfare to the centre of cyber policy

This week, Stephen Ibaraki has an exclusive interview with Sara Kemppainen.

Sara KemppainenSara Kemppainen is an active and outspoken social entrepreneur and bachelor student committed to bringing human welfare to the centre of cyber policy. At 16 she was selected to represent Finland at United World College in Italy, a highly selective high school for future change makers. Since then, she has initiated numerous community projects and founded her own non-profit, 'Women in Innovation and Leadership,' that facilitates collaboration between young women and promotes gender equality in leadership positions. Recently, Sara was the European Union delegate at the 2019 G(irls)20 Summit in Tokyo where she advocated for increased digital education to women in all communities.

Currently, Sara is finishing her bachelors at the International Honours College of Leiden University, concentrating on policy analysis in the field of technology. With a passion for humanitarian tech, she plans to pursue a career focused on making digital spaces more inclusive, safer and equitable by putting human welfare to the centre of tech-policy.
